3 Sentences Demonstrating the Power of the Comma 3 Sentences Demonstrating the Power of the Comma 3 Sentences Demonstrating the Power of the Comma By Mark Nichol The three sentences that follow show the significance of the consideration or oversight of a comma can have in facilitating perception of a sentence. 1. Following two hours at the bar, Jones said Smith was too tanked to even consider driving, and Smith demanded that Jones take him home. This sentence mistakenly suggests that two hours after Jones and Smith showed up at a bar, Jones offered the expression (to Smith?) that Smith was too tanked to even think about driving; it appears to be odd that after Jones stood up to Smith, the last would request a ride home. Nonetheless, Jones is relating, a lot later (and to another gathering), the way that two hours after they showed up at the bar, Smith was too tanked to even consider driving; his interest for a ride was not in light of a fierce remark. Embeddings a comma after said to make ââ¬Å"Jones saidâ⬠an incidental attribution explains that Jones offered the expression later, not that night: ââ¬Å"After two hours at the bar, Jones stated, Smith was too tanked to even consider driving, and Smith demanded that Jones take him home.â⬠2. Smith conceded that he thought about the structure side, however he didnââ¬â¢t know an entire hell of a ton about the assembling side. As composed, this sentence proposes that in spite of the fact that Smith recognized out loud that he knew about plan, he clearly minded his own business his obliviousness of assembling. Be that as it may, however the setting isn't clear in disconnection, Smith gave the two snippets of data. So as to impart that reality, the two segments of the sentence must be equal (ââ¬Å"he conceded this and thatâ⬠), and the comma must be excluded: ââ¬Å"He conceded that he thought about the plan side yet he didnââ¬â¢t know an entire hell of a great deal about the assembling side.â⬠(A rehash of that can be embedded after at the same time, however it is discretionary.) 3. This is the last known picture of on-screen character Robin Williams presenting with a fan. This inscription going with a photo of Williams and a unidentified individual can be perused two different ways: It is the last one he took with an admirer before his passing (and the presence of someone else in the photograph is significant), or it is the last photo taken of him before he kicked the bucket (and for some odd reason it was taken with a fan). Indeed, even outside of any relevant connection to the issue at hand, the principal understanding is suspect; except if the article the photograph goes with explicitly relates to the differentiation of Williams being shot with a fan (not likely), itââ¬â¢s practically sure that the fanââ¬â¢s nearness in the photograph is superfluous to the qualification of the image as the last one known to highlight Williams before his passing, and the expression ââ¬Å"posing with a fanâ⬠ought to be treated as a needy proviso: ââ¬Å"This is the last known picture of entertainer Robin Williams, presenting with a fan.â⬠Need to improve your English quickly a day? As a firm develops the lines of correspondence are regularly extended Essay As a firm develops the lines of correspondence are regularly extended. To conquer this gatherings could be set up to keep individuals educated. The companys range of control could be re-accentuated with the goal that laborers realize whom to answer to and who to advise regarding their requests. An unmistakable structure and various leveled pyramid will lessen contentions for the time being. Group building practices are a cutting edge method of improving assurance, camaraderie and productivity. They are a drawn out measure to keep all directors taking a stab at indistinguishable points and objectives for the organization from a group. I have been doled out by the organization Koka Kola to sift through the difficult they have where another base 50 miles outside of there London head quarters has been manufactured. The issue is the correspondence between the two bases; I have to locate the most ideal approach to impart between the two bases. Business Objectives The Business has destinations it must accomplish; the organizations fundamental goal is to set up another correspondences framework between the London Head Office and the recently fabricated Production Site. The issue with this is it might conflict with another goal, Profit. In the event that the organization is to burn through cash on another interchanges framework it must make sure that the cash spent on the framework, staff, showcasing and so forth, doesn't eclipse the cash made by deals and different wellsprings of benefit. This, albeit a major issue could have benefits in the long haul. In the event that the cash spent on setting up the Communications System is more than the benefit made that month. In the months after when the System is set up, the advantages in benefit because of the it being set up could be far more noteworthy than that in past months before it was made thus later on could in the long run be greater than the sum paid on the Communications System and perhaps the Production Site. This presumes despite the fact that the momentary targets possibly tangled, the drawn out must be held up upon so as to receive the rewards. Correspondence: Communication is the way toward passing data starting with one individual then onto the next. When the objective gets the data it is followed up on and criticism is sent to the first sender. A case of correspondence in business may be an organization delivering vehicles. The message may be a commercial on TV educating clients concerning another vehicle. The objective will be the fragment of the market keen on purchasing a vehicle. The input will be the degree of deals when the magazine initially goes on special. Correspondences are significant in a business since it stays with the chipping away at the correct track. For instance if a showcasing chief who never asked the clients what they needed in an item made a set up a publicizing plan on TV, the promotion would be founded on the executives interests as opposed to the perspectives on the clients. The clients wouldnt be intrigued and would deliberately ignore. The issue with the business I have been named to is that the business is parting into two bases among which individuals will work who might ordinarily speak with one another. I have sorted out a meeting with a specialist from a nearby business to discover what techniques for correspondence they use: 1) what number strategies for correspondence do you use in your business?

Donââ¬â¢t waste time! Our writers will create an original "How it Feels to be With or Without a Family" essay for you Create order After her motherââ¬â¢s departure, Mary goes to Argus to live with her aunt and leaves Karl behind. Karl then becomes a transient and meets many new people in his life. He always ends up leaving everybody he meets throughout the novel. He also declares his love to both men and women, regardless of how long he has knows them. Karl will become attached to anyone who shows him love. Then there is Celestine and Russell who do not have anyone else but themselves. In the novel, there is Sita who leaves her family to follow her dreams. However, she is looking for love which does not work out for her. She tries to find someone to be with, but she ends up being alone. In this novel, Erdrich describes the lives of the Adare family and how they untimely end up lonely. Each character tries to find somewhere they feel comfortable to live but setting down and creating lasting bands proves to be problematic for many of them. In the novel, Mary is one of the main characters who is looking for a family. Once her mother leaves her with her baby brother, she intends to take care of him. There is a man in the train who offers Mary to give him the baby. Mary at first did not want too but then ends up giving him the baby. Mary says, ââ¬Å"He grabbed my arm so fervently that the baby slipped, and then the young man caught me, as if to help, but instead he scooped the baby to himselfâ⬠(Erdrich 14). The guy from the train takes the baby and did not come back. Mary makes this decision because the baby did not stop crying. Mary then finds her auntââ¬â¢s meat shop and she tells her everything that happened. She ends up staying there expecting to find the family she wants. Mary is thankful for her aunt for letting her stay with them. Mary says, ââ¬Å"I had tried to give them what I thought was my treasure-the blue velvet box that held Mamaââ¬â¢s jewelsâ⬠(Erdrich 20). Her uncle and aunt did not want Mary to pay them, but Mary wants to at least be thankful by giving her mother jewels. She opens the box and finds few thick metal buttons off a coat, stickpins, a ticket describing a ring, and a necklace set with garnets. Sita says, ââ¬Å"I bet itââ¬â¢s emptyâ⬠(Erdrich 20). Sita from the beginning knows there will not be anything value inside the box. She is taking a fifty percent of being wrong or being right. But she has the feeling their will not be any valued inside the box. Furthermore, Mary wants to give something to her aunt Fritzie and uncle Pete for being so kind and giving her a place to stay. They treat Mary like she is part of the family and thatââ¬â¢s what Mary wants. She wants to be part of a family since her mom left her and she does not know anything about her other two brothers. However, her relationship with Sita is not what Mary expected. Mary just wants to have a family, but Sita does not want Mary in her life. Mary finally finds the family she dreams of, but at the same times she is taking over Sitaââ¬â¢s territory. Sita hates sharing her room and belongings with her cousin. She does not want Mary to be part of her family or her life. However, Mary gets herself comfortable and her aunt puts her in the same school as Sita. However, Mary ends up being in the same grade level as Sita because she passes a test the school makes her take. Just to check in what grade level they should put her in. Mary already is loved by her aunt and uncl e, which is something she always wanted. Then she noticed she is more like her aunt Fritzie because they seem to have the same mind set. They both have many things in common. Mary will not mind helping her out with the shop. For Mary, love does not seem to work with her and she does not find anyone. Continually, when Mary gets older, she ends up being in charge of the meat shop. She hires Celestine so she could help her out. Celestine helps out and Dot(Wallantee) just seem to hang around, but Mary gets attached to Dot. She wants Dot to have all the trust in her. However, Dot takes advantage of Mary because she knows Mary will always believe in her. Conversely, Mary has a brother who turns out to be Dot father, in which Mary does not seem to be have any interest anymore. Celestine and Dot are the only family member that are around Mary her whole life. Conversely, Karl has his momââ¬â¢s love and he is the favorite child of Adelaide. After Karl is abandon by his mother and sister. It starts to affect Karl more because he is left alone and has nobody. Anyone who crosses his life, Karl will always end up hurting them. Karl is looking for attention and he just wants to be loved. However, he is not sure what he really wants. Karl will always be everywhere, he could not stay in one place. He does not even know if he wants a family, but deep down he feels lonely. He will go through people to fill him up but does not seem to find any interest in any of them. Karl always leaves them. Throughout the novel, he meets Celestine and ends up having a child with her, which he does not know about until Celestine tells him. Although Celestine kicks him out of her life, Karl still does not want a family. He is not sure what he wants. His whole life consists of traveling around the world and selling merchandise. He could never stay in someoneâ⬠â¢s life because he always ends up hurting himself and leaving them indeed. Karl does not know the meaning of family because he never had one. For his daughter, he is not really a father because he never been by her side. He does not know anything about her. He tries to get close to his daughter but does not accomplish this. They do not have anything in common. Indeed, Celestine is described as a tall, strong, and a hardworking woman. Celestine is close friends with Sita and Mary. In the novel, Celestine becomes close to Mary and they end up growing up together. Celestine has a brother named Russell, he is the only family member she has since her parents died. Celestine works hard and does her best to maintain herself. In the middle of the novel, Celestine ends up having a child of Karl, which she does not expect and kicks Karl out of her life. Celestine does not want a family with Karl because he is unreliable. The only family member Celestine has is Russell though he leaves her because he does not like Karl. He did not want Karl to be a part of Celestineââ¬â¢s life. The only person that is by Celestineââ¬â¢s side is Mary. Moreover, Sita has everything, including a family and beauty. Sita thinks just because she is beautiful, she could get away with anything. The problem with Sita is that she is spoiled and she is not used to sharing whatever is hers. As the novel goes on, Sita decides to leave her family to follow her dreams. She does not care about anything else but herself. She does not care if her family agrees with her or not. Sita is a person that searches for love and her dreams. Sita says, ââ¬Å"First my room, then my clothing, then the cowââ¬â¢s diamond. But the worst was yet to come when she stole Celestineâ⬠(Erdrich 30). If there is something Sita hates doing it is sharing her clothes and her room. Throughout the novel, Sita feels that she is getting old compares herself with young models. Sita also has bad luck in love. She does not find the right guy until the middle of the novel. In addition, Dot is a daughter of Celestine and Karl. She is a strong woman and seems to have her family habits. Dot gets spoiled from her aunt Mary and mother Celestine. She is not used to anyone saying no to her and she wants to get everything she desires. Dot grows up without meeting her father until she is around the age fourteen. When Dot and her father meet up, Dot shows no type of interest towards her father. He is not what she expects him to be. In the novel it says, ââ¬Å"He felt reckless and desperate, suddenly, with the loss of this unattractive girlâ⬠(Erdrich 260). Karl is calling his daughter ugly. Dot is the queen of the beets. She gets on a plane and tries to leave just like her grandmother Adelaide. But she returns back because she starts to think what her mother will feel and all her loved ones. Lastly, this novel is about family. How every character tries to find a place a to fit in. Once they have the family they have dream of, they get attach. However, there are two main character that do not seem to find their family. There is one character who has a family but decides to separate herself from everyone. I was three when I decided I would become a health care provider. This decision is my first memory and it is why I will become a physicianââ¬â¢s assistant (PA). I was watching a documentary and staring into the eyes of a child my age. The announcer said that the child was starving. I could not imagine someone having flies in their eyes and not having food to eat or clothes to wear. I could not believe that such atrocities existed and I vowed to do something about it. I grew up in a small town surrounded by blue collar folks. My father had multiple sclerosis although I donââ¬â¢t remember it getting in the way of his strong desire to make a difference in the lives of the troubled souls with whom he worked as a parole officer. These college experiences enhanced my insight into the world of health care and provided me with greater excitement about becoming a health care provider. Then I got sick and thatââ¬â¢s when I met my first PA. It was the summer between my junior and senior year of college and I had been suffering from health problems that were quietly destroying my well-being and studies since I had returned from my sophomore year study abroad in Ecuador. The doctors I had seen in Wisconsin did not address my health problem, so I made an appointment with a PA at home in Montana. I did not know what a ââ¬Å"PAâ⬠was, but I was dubious that an assistant could diagnose me. However, not only did he diagnose me, but he treated me so well that I elected to see him over the Wisconsin doctors I had seen previously. Unlike the doctors, the PA was calm, competent and caring. This was the first hint at the fact that PA was the career choice for me. After college, I became a medical anthropologist to help create structural change that would one day improve the system that contributes to the social inequalities that cause to poor health. Question: What is the Contemporary Clinical Manifestations of the Patient? Answer: Introducation The contemporary clinical manifestations of the patient include the increase in the ischemic stroke which he got diagnosed within the last six months. The ischemic stroke gets caused by the reduction in the blood flow into the brain of the patient. Thus, the patient experiences a decrease in the cerebral blood which accelerates the reperfusion through the thrombolysis using the recombinant tissue of the plasminogen activator (rt-PA)(Brambilla, et al., 2013). The rt-PA has got an association for an improved clinical result. Further, his hypertension has increased with the high prevalence of the Ischemic Heart Disease. Hypertension involves the chronic surge of the blood pressure which in the long-term results to the destruction of the organ. It also leads to the increased morbidity and the mortality rate. Moreover, the patient complains of the continued gastro-oesophageal reflux. The patient narrates that he feels kind of a gastric juice that comes back into the esophagus exceeding th e reasonable limit. The Patient Information Mr. Tim Hewson, aged 61 years old, who got widowed and left with no children. He lives alone in the apartment block. As a nurse, I feel that my client does not receive entirely any family-centered care and support since there is no family member or relative living with him. Hence, the patient may develop stress and have a feeling of loneliness which most likely would render the medications he receives ineffective and have a reduced efficacy(Ringoir, Pedersen, WIddershoven, Pop, 2014). The patient has got a medical history for ischemic stroke, high blood pressure, ischemic heart disease and the signs of gastroesophageal reflux disease. There is strong medical rationale currently for the patient that include the drug and the prescribed dosage. For instance, the 20mg Lisinopril, the Frusemide 40mg each day, 150mg of aspirin for a daily dosage. Furthermore, the Coloxyl and Senna tablets for a dosage of 2 tabs daily, the Nexium which is 40mg mane, Panadol, 400mg Ibuprofen TDS (taken prio r retire to bed). Further Assessments and the Issues to Consider I would like to acquire more information regarding Mr. Tims height, weight, whether he smokes or not. Moreover, would require additional information if the patient consumes alcohol and the kind of meal that has got prescribed for him. The height and weight would assist me to check on the patients basal mass index (BMI) so as to rule in or out obesity condition based on the index value obtained. In most instances, patients who are obese do experience high blood pressure(Shekelle, et al., 2013). Information about smoking gets critical in determining whether the patient might have any signs of the cigarette components related cancer or noncancerous lung disease as a result of the hydrogen cyanide gas from the cigarette smoke. The type of meal prescribed for the patient would assist me in knowing what balance diet I should offer my client during the nursing care(Aust, 2013). The knowledge about patient alcohol consumption would create the basis for determining whether the patient suffers from alcohol-related diseases in case he drinks. Establishment of the Care Goal As a competent nurse, I would first start by introducing to my client and bring to his attention that I would be the one taking of him. I should listen to him carefully and note any difficult in his communication if therein and devise a mechanism for effective communication. Based on the nursing practice standards, I should show empathy and deep concern for my client by creating enough time to stay close to the patient(Kitson, Marshall, Bassett, Zeitz, 2013). Thus, fight the loneliness feeling and offer more opportunity to learn more about how my patient feels. Besides, I shall encourage the client to enjoy his meal and take the medication rationales as prescribed for the faster recovery. Finally, I would always give my patient hope that he shall recover and all shall get well. Evaluation I would apply three strategies to evaluate my patient. The strategies include monitoring, outcome and the impact evaluation. The follow-up evaluation is the kind of assessment that takes effect shortly after the nursing intervention begins and goes up to the midway. The monitoring assessment would allow me to determine what I should do for my patient next. The patient outcome evaluation would enable me to assess the medication results on my client(Arora, Goldeberg, Menchine, 2014). The outcomes may be short-term or long-term. The impact assessment would assist in measuring the changes in the patient before and after receiving medication and other nursing care services. Examples of other nursing care services include the consolation, stress management, and the loneliness feeling fight. Usually, the impact assessment would help to answer some nursing questions on how much have the patient condition has improved References Arora, S., Goldberg, A. D., Menchine, M. (2014).
